The girls came out unified, ready to defend their win. Alexis Melinn lead team on the field pitching a strong two and a half innings. Phern Sendin lead the team hitting, scoring four runs in our 23-3 win.

Calvin 15 and Godwin Heights 0 in JV Baseball

 Despite a strong first half and close shots on goal, the girls just couldn’t find the goal on Monday. Kelloggsville’s stamina and speed won out in the heat. In Varsity Baseball action, the Godwin Heights squad lost 10-1 against a hard hitting Calvin Christian team who earned 14 hits.  Calvin actually scored 5 runs in the first two innings, but were then limited to 5 more runs over the remaining 5 innings.  Earning hits for Godwin were Alex Rodriguez and Alonzo Carroll.  Carroll

Godwin Heights 14, West Michigan Lutheran 4 in Middle School Baseball

The middle school boys baseball team played vs West Michigan Christian on friday. The boys started out slow falling behind 2-0 before they went off for 10 runs in the bottom of the third inning. The wolverines added 4 more in the fourth and managed to hold onto the lead and win the game 14-4.

K-ville 17, Godwin Heights 2 in JV Baseball Action

Godwin lost to Kelloggsville Friday by a score of 17-2 at Kelloggswoods Park.  Godwin loaded the bases in the first inning but was unable to score any runs. Kelloggsville would score first going up 4-0 after the first inning.  Godwin would answer with 2 runs of their own in the top of the 3rd inning. 

K-Ville 2, Godwin Heights 1 in Baseball Action

The Godwin Heights Varsity Baseball team lost a close 2-1 baseball game against Kelloggsville on Friday night.  It was a pitcher’s duel and a defensive centered game where neither team truly got the bats going.  Kole, the pitcher for K-Ville, got the win for the Rockets…throwing all 7 innings with 8 strikeouts and only 1
